The local Share the Dignity branch is calling for donations for their mum and bub bags after orders skyrocketed.

Last year the group did six bags but already has more than 100 orders for the bags to help vulnerable women with babies in the South West.

Although the group has not started collecting donations, they are calling for people to start thinking about collecting items to help with the demand.

They have encouraged people to host “no baby” baby showers as a way of collecting items.

Items in the bags must be new or in good condition and can include nappies, breast pads, maternity pads, baby wipes, dummies, baby shampoo, baby wash, socks, singlets and other items.

Bunning’s will be a collection point from November 22 to December 7.
