Residents of the South West have been encouraged to get their rock on and get down to Bunbury Ten Pin Bowl on Monday night for WA iSports’ July fundraiser.

Rock ‘n’ Bowl with iSports will serve as the organisation’s main fundraising event for the year with organisers hoping to fill every lane of the bowling alley on the night.

“Being a not-for-profit organisation, this is where most of our funding will come from,” iSports committee member Rick Wells said. “Food’s going to be provided with a couple of other games available outside of the bowling and a bunch of prizes, raffles and so on.”

Those who attend will be treated to two games of bowling as well as the aforementioned entertainment and additional games with tickets still on sale for just $30.

“We definitely need more (ticket sales), I think we’re about half way through filling up the place at the moment,” Mr Wells said.

“The centre has helped us out a bit with putting us up so we could actually make a bit of money out of it.

“If we can fill out the lanes then we’re looking at about $900 to $1000, we need whatever we can get.”

WA iSports runs bowling events every Thursday during the school term for its athletes, including Justin Gemmill who said he planned on “kicking butt”.

Tickets to the event will be available until Sunday.
