The Leschenault Catchment Council are holding a community Possum Night Stalk event on Saturday December 7 in Eaton.

The event forms part of the LCC’s western ringtail possum conservation program.

Leschenault Catchment Council project officer, Katrina Zeehandelaar-Adams said guests will learn how to observe the critically endangered creatures at night.

“Given possums are nocturnal, the best time see to them is at night by torch light,” she said.

“There is a real sense of excitement and awe from everyone when we spot one of these creatures for the first time along the walk trail.”
