Exmouth’s town centre has been given a facelift befitting one of the State’s premier tourist destinations.
In April, eight banners showcasing the beauty of the area were installed on Maidstone Crescent to help beautify the main street.
The images displayed on the banners were chosen from the Ningaloo Visitor Centre’s annual photography competition and show iconic local sites, activities and experiences.
Shire of Exmouth chief executive Cameron Woods said the banners were part of the Shire’s commitment to making the town centre a welcoming place for visitors.
“They add a real vibrancy to our main street, encouraging visitors into the area to visit the shops and parks,” he said.
“By showing some of our amazing sites and bucket-list experiences, they also encourage people to get out and experience more while they are here — or come back again.”
Banner images include the area’s famous whale sharks, sea turtles and humpback whales, as well as locations such as Turquoise Bay and the Ningaloo Lighthouse.
The Shire has also cleaned up the town mall and landscaped Maidstone Crescent.
