The Eaton Senior Citizens Association will receive and install a defibrillator for public use in the coming months.

The association was awarded a grant last month to help make the idea become a reality, a grant that the association matched dollar for dollar.

The defibrillator will be installed on the outside of the clubrooms, though no set date has been announced.

“The public need to know the availability of such equipment... more organisations need to make the defibrillators available for public use,” association president Menno de Vries said.
