Perth breakfast radio presenter Ryan Jon has revealed he’s not sure if he still wants to continue the search for his birth mother.

The 30-year-old released an emotional Mother’s Day video last year, revealing his adoption story and thanking her for her sacrifices.

It was shared millions of times and led to him finding his birth father and two half-brothers, who live at the other side of the world.

Since then, Hit 92.9 radio presenter has found several letters written by his biological mother explaining the reasoning behind her decision.

“You can only imagine the turmoil she faced making that decision,” he said.

“I’d always assumed she would have placed me up for adoption and in the nicest way possible, forgot about me and moved on.

“I’ve since spoken to hundreds of birth mums who told me you just never forget.”

Radio presenter Ryan Jon says he's unsure if he wants to continue the search for his birth mother.

Ryan has tracked down his original birth certificate and now knows his biological mother is still alive and has re-married.

“It’s different with my birth father because he didn’t know about me. My birth mum had to carry me for nine months and make a lot of decisions on my behalf.

“Since finding out she has re-married, I don’t know what to do.

“Her husband might not know about me and she might be happy, and I don’t want to disturb that.

An added benefit of making contact with his birth father is the medical reassurance he now has.

“I got to tell the story to a doctor a few months ago and was finally able to answer that question,” he said.

Ryan and his partner Bridgette are now trying for a baby.

“If it happens I think we will just really appreciate the miracle of life.”
