Born in Perth, Paul has always seemed to gravitate towards the microphone, spruiking deli meats at the supermarket, boarding calls at the airport or MC’ing games for the Perth Wildcats.
Who do you follow in the AFL? I’m an Eagles fan all the way – 2014 should be a good season!
What’s on Your iPod? It’s pretty diverse! Everything from Bruno Mars to Bonobo – Vydamo to Van Morrison – Flume to Fleetwood Mac! Grew up listening to Daryl Braithwaite, Metallica. Love attending all kinds of live music: Festivals, orchestras, acoustic, everything!
What do you do outside the studio? I love my basketball, playing, watching, reffing anything! Enjoy going out and watching a movie.
Matthew "Matt" Layton
Who do you follow in the AFL? Can’t go past the West Coast Eagles – Some of my earliest memories are the 92 and 94 premierships. Carn the Eagles!
What’s on your iPod? Bit of everything – Green Day, Foo Fighters, Avicii, Pharrell Williams – I’m easy to please – anything that’s got a good vibe and keeps me on my feet!
What do you do outside the studio? Listening to music on the iPod, exploring this amazing town, and keeping up to date with the latest news. I go by the mantra “News is power” – though don’t get me started on federal politics – I’ll talk for hours!

Justin started on radio and television after graduating high school in 2000.
His first job was as a TV presenter for the popular WA TV show “The Saturday Club”, after a couple of years on TV he began radio in the south west of WA. Justin juggled both radio and TV for about 8 years until he decided to go fulltime radio! He hasn’t looked back since!

Darren De Mello
West Aussie? Through and through! Darren was born in Geraldton, raised in Perth and learned to drive in Bunbury. That means that he's almost guaranteed to pronounce the suburbs and towns correctly when he's on Telethon. He's also been on WA radio for half his life, which you would assume would give him an unparalleled knowledge of music and broadcasting. Sadly, this is not the case, hence him working on Spirit.
